EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 16-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody following a shots fired incident Monday, April 13 at Jim Crouch Park, according to El Paso police.
El Paso police responded around 1 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 7500 block of W. H. Burges. The case was later assigned to the department’s Gang Unit for further investigation.
The shooting caused concerned parents and guardians to take their children out of school nearby at Burges High School amid the lockdown. On Monday, El Paso Independent School District officials told KTSM 9 News the lockdown was later lifted and placed under “hold.”
