EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Following this week’s County Commissioners Court work session on the Sheriff’s Office budget, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Officers Association has issued a strong message of confidence in Sheriff Oscar Ugarte.
The Sheriff’s Officers Association said on Saturday morning, April 18, that it strongly supports Ugarte, his command staff and the continued need for additional personnel to meet the demands of a growing community.
The Association said in its statement that “for the first time in recent memory, the Sheriff’s Office has an administration that is actively listening to its workforce and taking meaningful steps to understand and address the operational challenges faced by deputies and detention officers.”…
