El Paso’s Mexican American Culture Hub Turns Old Library Into Arts Powerhouse

El Paso’s Mexican American Cultural Center has quietly grown into a downtown hangout for borderland art, food, and performance, stacking dance and cooking classes alongside rotating exhibitions and public events. The center opened in spring 2025 after more than a decade of planning, and its programming has steadily expanded to include community workshops and family-friendly activities. Visitors can drop in for free gallery admission or sign up for ticketed classes and performances.

On Sunday, the City of El Paso gave the MACC a boost on X, spotlighting its class lineup and directing followers to the center’s website for schedules and hours.
