Pedestrian hit, killed by train in North East

A North East teen is dead after being hit by a train late Wednesday night.

According to Erie County 911, they were called around 11 p.m. by the train conductor near the crossroads of Grahamville and South Lake streets on the CXS tracks. The conductor reported that he believed the train had hit a pedestrian.

Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook said the victim was a 16-year-old boy. He was pronounced dead at the scene just after midnight…
