A former paralegal for an Erie lawyer has been indicted on federal charges that she embezzled nearly a half a million dollars from the lawyer’s firm over about a year, ending in March 2025.
The defendant, Yelena Andrews, worked for Andrew Sisinni, the head of Sisinni Legal and Sisinni Settlement, in the former post office on Griswold Plaza, across from Union Station near West 14th and Sassafras streets.
Andrews, 48, of Conneaut, Ohio, had worked for Sisinni for 23 years, according to the firm. Sisinni said she had been the “longest tenured and most trusted employee in my office.”…
