The Chautauqua County Sheriff`s Office and the Chautauqua County Humane Society have joined efforts to fight against animal cruelty across the county.
The sheriff’s office announced a deputy has been assigned to investigate potential animal cruelty cases.

That deputy will work closely with the Chautauqua County Humane Society, which will provide shelter to seized animals
The humane society will also help deputies to determine the severity of each cruelty case and help them develop an intervention plan, ensuring the best outcome for the animals involved.
