Just a few blocks away from where homeowners experienced damage from fallen trees, Wednesday’s storm wreaked havoc on Chautauqua Park, located on Lakeside Drive along the Lake Erie shoreline.
City of Erie crews were there much of the day Thursday using heavy equipment and dump trucks to clear away the fallen trees and downed limbs that littered the park.
One tree came down on top of a picnic pavilion, heavily damaging the structure and leaving it leaning to one side…
