(WJET/WFXP)– The Erie man convicted of being the one who sold drugs to a Millcreek man in 2023, which would later cause a fatal overdose, received his sentence Monday.
Judge William Cunningham sentenced 28-year-old Stewart Correll to 6-12 years in prison followed by another six years of parole, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.

Correll was convicted at trial in June of felony drug delivery resulting in death, possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility, along with misdemeanor intent to possess a controlled substance.
Correll was charged on May 16, 2024, almost a year after the fatal overdose of 23-year-old Corey Sadzewicz, who was found dead in his Millcreek Township home on May 19, 2023.

Police said they found blue M30 pills in Sadzewicz’s home and other drug paraphernalia, with the Erie County Coroner’s Office later determining he died of fentanyl toxicity. Correll would turn himself in the following day…
