Visitors planning to spend the Labor Day holiday at Presque Isle State Park will have several guarded swimming options available throughout the holiday weekend, according to park officials. Beaches 1, 6, 7, 8, and 9 will be staffed with lifeguards and open for swimming on designated schedules through Labor Day.
On September 5, and September 6, Beach 1, Beach 6 (Lyons Beach), Beach 7, and Beach 9 will be open and guarded from noon to 7:15 p.m. Beach 8 (Pettinato Beach) will operate with extended hours from 10 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. both days.
