The sound of marching bands filled the air at McDowell High School as students from across the region took the field.
But this year’s event was particularly special for McDowell, with two seniors getting the opportunity to create the concept and arrange the music for their band’s performance.

“We were thinking about a journey through life and how hard it’s going to be when we graduate and so that’s basically the inspiration that we had for the show,” Nathan Cooper, McDowell marching band senior said.
