Rescuers raced to Lake Erie Speedway on Saturday afternoon after a motorcyclist was injured during an event known as Motordrome on the Bay.
A 55-year-old motorcycle racer was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Hamot, arriving at the trauma center around 2:45 p.m. The extent of the rider’s injuries has not been released.
