A protest took place in downtown Erie on Sunday in remembrance and demanding justice for Marchello Woodard, the 43-year-old Erie man who was shot and killed during a compliance check with state parole agents in July of 2025.
“When law enforcement kills someone while they’re unarmed, it is not okay, and the community is going to stand together until we find justice,” said Michael Woodard, a community activist.
