Drivers are being advised to plan ahead on October 9 as the McDowell Homecoming Parade is expected to cause temporary road closures and traffic congestion in the area.
The parade is scheduled to take place from approximately 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 9. Road closures will begin at 4:30 p.m. and remain in effect until the parade concludes.
Officials say all of Caughey Road will be closed between West 26th Street and West 38th Street during the event. Motorists who are not attending the parade are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the area whenever possible.
Residents and visitors should also expect increased vehicle traffic, large crowds of pedestrians, and limited parking throughout nearby neighborhoods…
