Local chiropractor providing free services to support Upper Room guests

A local chiropractor is helping the less fortunate crack a smile at the beginning of their day.

Dr. Steven Krauza, the owner of Krauza Family Chiropractic, visits the Upper Room — located at 1024 Peach St., Erie — every two weeks to give free services to their guests.

Krauza sets up for about two hours and anyone who is there at the time can come in to get adjusted and taken care of. A lot of their guests sleep on different surfaces each night and he said he wanted to bring them some relief.

He added something simple like this makes a profound difference in the way people feel.

“In the Upper Room, we see roughly 100 people a day. The homeless population in Erie is growing. It’s important for us to take care of our neighbors. If you see people out on the street, don’t ignore them. Be kind is ultimately what it comes down to,” Kraus said.
