This is the first time a queen from an Erie County Fair has been awarded this honor.

“I’m sitting there, the music’s going then they called me for alternate,” said Elise Honeycutt, 2024 PA State Fair Queen Alternate. “I was definitely shocked, it was a big ‘oh my goodness, what’s going to happen now.’”
Out of 58 contestants, Elise Honeycutt was selected as the 2024 Pennsylvania State Fair Queen alternate.
This honor came after she had competed locally and was crowned at the 2023 Albion Area Fair.
Elise is a junior at Northwestern High School where she shows her passion for agriculture through Albion FFA chapter, 4H Club and working on her grandparent’s Christmas tree farm.

“Every since she has been little she been with us here pushing around with a stroller at FFA events or farm shows or fairs or any of that kind of stuff so she’s been pretty immersed in it all. So I was pretty excited when she decided hey I want to try to do this,” said Anthony Honeycutt, Elise’s dad.
