Erie Otters top London with Burns debut in net, 5-4

ERIE, PA (WJET)–The Erie Otters battled the London Knights on Saturday.

The crowd was packed. It was a sold-out night for the Otters.

Erie’s starting goaltender Ben Gaudreau was out due to an injury.

Charlie Burns stepped in to fill his shoes and delivered.

Burns dominated in the net and had 33 saves on the night.

Alexis Daviault started things off for Erie in the first period.

Spencer Sova and Sam Alfano each added one to the board in the first.

Malcolm Spence scores in the second period to make to 4-1 Erie.

Burns kept the net tight in the shootout and earns the win in his Otters debut.
