A local radio station held a fundraiser to help continue their broadcasting efforts to the community and online.
WXCS is a low-independent power community radio station that started approximately 20 years ago with an initiative from the FCC to put more low-power radio stations on the air.
New sensory-friendly kids gym hosts rocking grand opening in Millcreek
The radio station is fully run by volunteers broadcasting in Edinboro and the Cambridge Springs area. The event Saturday night included a membership drive, basket raffle, and more.
“We’ve had a lot of support in the local community a lot of businesses were a non-profit so we’re running doing sponsorships or underwriting as you may refer to we got local businesses to help us out,” said Frank Bercik, volunteer board member for the WXCS Cambridge Community Radio Association.

The fundraiser was free and open to the public.
