Three McDowell seniors accept enrollment into Ivy League schools

Three McDowell seniors were excited to continue their education at the prestigious colleges of their dreams.

Judah Jones, Elias Herrera and Owen Martin had been preparing the last four years of their lives to be accepted into their top universities.

McDowell senior receives full college tuition after earning J-100 scholarship

Jones was accepted to Dartmouth College and Herrera was been accepted to Cornell University.

Martin was accepted to Stanford with a full ride.

Each scholar applied early to multiple schools and recommended other students to do the same.

“Apply to the Quest Bridge National College Match Program, especially if you’re from a first-generation college household or low-income household. That was a huge lifesaver for me and I didn’t really even find out about it until, about, three months before I applied,” said Owen Martin, a McDowell senior who was accepted to Standford.
