The Pennsylvania State Police in Erie are on the lookout for a suspicious person who visited a North East Township home.
Around 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 29, an older white man arrived at the residence where he reportedly spoke with a 3-year-old through a storm door. A police report states when the child’s mother approached, the man said he was asking for directions and walked away.
Then when the child’s father walked outside, the suspicious male “walked very fast to his vehicle and sped away, blatantly running a stop sign down the street.”
The suspicious person is described as 50-70 years old, wearing a camo jacket, camo hat, and blue jeans. He was driving a 2011-2017 gold Jeep Patriot with black wheels and had a handicap placard hanging from the rearview mirror.
Anyone with information on this person is asked to contact the state police’s Erie station at 814-898-1641.
