Love is in the air at Hagen History Center Bridal Expo

With Groundhog Day in the rearview mirror, people are already looking forward to Valentine’s Day.

But for some couples who have already said yes to the big question, wedding planning kicks up a notch this time of year.

Whether it’s saying yes to the dress, choosing a cake or even just selecting a venue, wedding planning can be stressful. But ahead of what’s sure to be a busy wedding season, some brides were hoping a one-stop-shop for all things weddings could help.

It’s the start of February, and that means love is in the air. And for many brides-to-be in the Erie area, it’s a time to start planning for their big day if they haven’t been planning meticulously already.

“We really do see a lot of pick-up around now for people who are looking to book a venue, to book all of their really important vendors for their wedding. Most of the time, peak wedding season takes place between May and October, so usually at least six months in advance of planning is what we like to see and recommend,” said Kelly Bucci, event coordinator for the Haggen History Center.
