Local candy store closing after 79 years

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WKBN) — A local candy store that has been in business for 79 years has announced its closing.

Jameson’s Candy made the announcement over the weekend on its website and Facebook page.

The family-owned business makes handcrafted chocolate candies.

According to the announcement, the store plans to remain open through Easter, though the exact closing date hasn’t been announced yet.

Jameson’s Candy is located 3451 Wilmington Road in New Castle.
