JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — An Erie County man was arrested in Brookville after police said he was attempting to meet what he thought was a teenage girl for sex.
Gregg Crossley Jr., 43, of Albion, PA, was taken into custody on Sunday, Feb. 4 when 814 Pred Hunters assisted Brookville police with an investigation into online child predator behavior. According to police, members of the group started an online relationship with Crossley through social media in November 2023 while posing as a 14-year-old.

814 Pred Hunters gathered their text conversations with Crossley that allegedly included sexually explicit photos. They also accused Crossley of making plans that involved an exclusive sexual relationship with a minor along with other crimes against a child.
According to court documents, Crossley allegedly discussed in text conversations about having a future with the teen which included the possibility of getting her pregnant.
On Feb. 4, Crossley left his home in Albion and came to Brookville to meet the fictitious teen, according to police. A joint operation with police and the 814 Pred Hunters brought about Crossley’s arrest. He was taken to the Jefferson County Prison where he’s being held on $50,000 bail.
