But what company officials are calling a “network disruption” has brought the North East plant to a halt.

No juice, jam or jelly is being made at the Welch’s North East plant this week. In fact, the company has shut down all operations since Friday.
That’s when a company statement said a “network disruption” impacted its ability to access certain systems. No word yet from Welch’s on what caused the disruption.
Meanwhile, hundreds of employees have been told to stay home. Those we spoke to said management has told them they’ll receive a call each day to tell them if they should return.
