Eriez Manufacturing names new leader

Jaisen Kohmuench has been named CEO of Erie-based Eriez Manufacturing.

He succeeds Lukas Guenthardt, who retired at the end of 2023.

An inventor with more than a dozen patents, Kohmuench earned a bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in mining and minerals engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

According to the company, his appointment is part of a carefully planned succession strategy that saw Kohmuench working closely alongside Guenthardt and the company’s board of directors.

He began his career at Eriez as a process engineer and went on to numerous other roles, including chief operating officer.
