Man charged for punching sister, falsifying identity to police

Erie County, Pa. ( WJET/WFXP ) — A Pennsylvania man was taken into custody for physically assaulting his sister and falsifying his identity to state police.

According to a report, a 31-year-old East Springfield man got into a verbal argument with his 17-year-old sister at a residence along Eagley Road in Springfield Township just before 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 8.

The man reportedly punched her in the face and fled the scene. He was apprehended 30 minutes later by state police where he gave them a false name.

Charges were then filed for simple assault, harassment – physical contact, false identification to law enforcement and driving while operating privileges are suspended.

He was arraigned and bail was set at $10,000 straight.
