Ohio woman arrested after striking pole in Chautauqua Co.

Erie, Pa ( WJET/WFXP )– An Ohio woman was arrested early Sunday morning in Chautauqua County after striking a utility pole with her car.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriffs, deputies were first called out to the single-car accident along Route 426 in the Town of Mina, NY around 7:21 a.m. Feb. 11.

Police determined the driver, Rachel James, 27, of Uhrichsville, OH was driving under the influence of drugs and have since charged her with driving while ability impaired by drugs, speed not reasonable and prudent, and failure to maintain lane.

No one was injured in the accident and James is set to appear in the Town of Mina court at a later date.
