Local brides shop for their day at Erie Bridal Market and Expo

Brides-to-be in the Erie area got an extra hand preparing for their big day by attending Erie’s Bridal Market and Expo on Sunday at the Bayfront Convention Center.

Those planning weddings were able to approach dozens of local vendors to see what options were available for their special day.

One of those businesses explained how the expo not only helps the customers, but themselves as well.

“We’ve received most of our publicity through social media; Facebook, Instagram so, it’s really nice to actually be able to put a name to the face for some people. They see us and say ‘oh we see you on Instagram all the time.’ Now is their opportunity to meet us face to face and really see what our company is,” said Julie Shannahan, a balloon artist for Estela Events.
