Reported fire on W. 21st St. on Saturday afternoon

The Erie Fire Department was called Saturday for a reported building fire on the city’s west side.

The call came in around 5 p.m. from the former Anderson Vacuum Store in the 800 block of W. 21st St.

Both the vacant business spaces on the first floor as well as the second floor apartment had major damage.

No one was in the apartment as the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Fire investigators are still determining the cause.
