Motorcyclist sustains eye injury, hospitalized following Crawford Co. crash

( WJET/WFXP ) — A motorcyclist was hospitalized after hitting a ditch in Crawford County.

On Thursday, June 20, Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Corry responded to a crash on Erie County Line Road around 8:50 p.m.

According to police the driver of the motorcycle, a 36-year-old Corry man, was traveling south on Route 89 in Sparta Township when he attempted to make a right turn.

Police stated that while attempting to make the turn, the Corry man drove off the left side of the roadway and hit a ditch, causing disabling damage to the front wheel of his motorcycle.

The driver also sustained a laceration above his left eye despite wearing both a helmet and eye protection.

He was transported to the Corry Memorial Hospital by EMS.
