Police: McKean woman charged after man overdoses on fentanyl

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Kane woman is facing an involuntary manslaughter charge after allegedly supplying a man with drugs that killed him.

Samantha Gustafson, 30, was charged after police were called to a residence in DuBois for reports that a man that was unresponsive. When police arrived, they spoke with the man’s father, who told them that he found his son on the bathroom floor, unresponsive.

Police determined the victim to be dead and the Clearfield County Coroner was called to the scene. During investigation, police noted that there were drug paraphrenia items such as tin foil with burnt residue and a rolled up dollar bill found in the residence near the bathroom. Police also found a piece of paper with a white powder substance on it, according to the criminal complaint.

Police then spoke with the man’s father, who said that a woman that he didn’t know had allegedly spent the night with his son but left early in the morning, before he discovered his son. He also said that his son had allegedly been dating the woman.
