Erie Gives once again shattered the record for most donations, raising more than $9.7 million in 2024, beating the numbers in 2023 by $1.4 million.
The 14th annual Erie Gives raised a grand total of $9,709,602 for 513 nonprofits this year.
This was also the first year that all 513 participating nonprofits received a gift from donors. The Erie Community Foundation processed 3,000 checks while answering 500 phone calls and printed 513 checks during the annual day of giving on Aug. 13 .
Official results from Erie Gives 2024 were revealed on Tuesday by the Erie Community Foundation.
Which of the Erie Gives nonprofits received the most?
According to the Erie Community Foundation’s website, the top five nonprofits this year included:
- United Way of Erie County received 126 gifts totaling $362,809.
- Foundation for Free Enterprise Education/ Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week received 187 gifts totaling $228,792.
- Julia Hospice and Palliative Care received 581 gifts totaling $258,427.
- Erie P hilharmonic received 323 gifts totaling $226,674.
- Second Harvest Food Bank received 854 gifts totaling $223,990.
