SeaWolves fans pack together to watch, celebrate Erie’s back-to-back championship

In a rematch of the 2022 championship series, the SeaWolves were triumphant this time in Somerset. And though they couldn’t be there, fans were still backing their team.

“Go SeaWolves!” said Robin Kelley, a fan.

Erie SeaWolves fans brought the ballpark energy to Odis 12 on Tuesday, cheering on their team in game two of the Eastern League Championship Series.

“I’ve been here since five o’clock and I know they started turning people away at about 5:40, you know, almost 50 minutes until gametime. I don’t know what the capacity is in here, but definitely a lot more of a turnout than I was anticipating,” said Kyle Anderson, account executive for the Erie SeaWolves.

The championship series is a rematch from two years ago, where the SeaWolves fell to the Somerset Patriots in the final game of the series.

But fans haven’t forgotten that series and want to see their team win two consecutive titles.

“We want to see them go all the way and win the championship, so of course we’re supporting them. We love them,” said Kathleen Loper, a SeaWolves fan.
