EPD crisis officer Wroblewski earns citizen praise
The Erie Police Department has a hidden gem in Jess Wroblewski who works as one of their crisis officers. I have seen firsthand how compassionate, patient, understanding and kind she is. She has a gift of being able to diffuse difficult situations with herĀ calm demeanor.
If you have a mental heath crisis, please don’t be scared to reach out to Erie police. They are truly there to help.

Crass Vance remark in Erie reflects our debased politics
When Senator J.D. Vance said at a rally in Erie, that the Vice President of the United States can “go to hell,” it was more than just a crass remark. It was a symptom of the deep divisions plaguing our country, a reflection of the bitter partisanship and politics of contempt that has eroded our political discourse and undermined our collective ability to address and solve the pressing issues we face as a nation, in my view.
This kind of rhetoric is a stark reminder of how far we have strayed from the principles of civility, unity, and respectful dialogue. This is a time America desperately needs leaders who can bring us together.
