One person has died after a fatal motorcycle accident in Harborcreek

Erie, Pa ( WJET/WFXP ) — One person has died after a motorcycle and an SUV collided Saturday night.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident occurred just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday night at the intersection of Shannon Road and the Bayfront Connector in Harborcreek Township.

Police have identified the man who died as 54-year-old Fredrick Feather of Erie.

According to state police, the SUV was traveling south on Shannon Road toward the intersection of Shannon Road and the Bayfront Connector. The motorcycle was traveling north on Shannon Road, also heading for the intersection of Shannon Road and the Bayfront Connector.

The SUV attempted to make a left turn to travel eastbound onto the Bayfront Connector, pulling in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then struck the SUV head-on.

All the occupants of the SUV were unharmed in the crash. The rider of the motorcycle was transported to UPMC Hamot and later succumbed to his injuries.

Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate the accident.
