Kamala Harris to campaign in Erie on Monday. What we know

Vice President Kamala Harris , the Democratic nominee for president , will campaign in Erie County Monday, Oct. 14, according to the Harris-Walz campaign.

A time and location has not been announced.

“The Harris-Walz campaign is investing heavily to reach voters across the Commonwealth, including in Erie,” the campaign said in a news release. “Erie is a critical bellwether and has voted for the winner of the presidential election in every election since 2008.”

The visit will mark Harris’s 10th stop to Pennsylvania, and eighth in either Western Pennsylvania or the western portion of Central Pennsylvania, since becoming the presumptive nominee in mid-July, after President Joe Biden exited the race amid concerns over his age and health, according to the campaign.

Harris led former President Donald Trump 48% to 44% in Erie County, according to a USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll of 300 Erie County voters taken in the days following the first and only debate between Harris and Trump on Sept. 10.
