A car crash on Interstate 79 sent one person to the hospital and backed up traffic for miles Monday afternoon.
That crash happened near mile-marker 167 on I-79 southbound, just north of the Edinboro exit.
According to first responders, one person is facing what they’re saying are potentially life-threatening injuries.
Crews called for fire at Millcreek Township laundromat
A STAT MedEvac helicopter was called to the scene and transported that person to UPMC Hamot in Erie for treatment.
First responders were on the scene helping to direct traffic as the wreckage was assessed and cleaned up.
At this time, there’s no word on the status of those involved.
