Paraglider rescued after reportedly crashing in trees near Bayfront Connector

A paraglider has been rescued after reportedly crashing into trees near the Bayfront Connector on Tuesday.

Calls came in around 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 22 for the incident. Crews at the scene told us that a paraglider was stuck in the trees in the area by Penn State Behrend soccer field across from Station Road.

An aerial ladder had been requested, and police said they were able to rescue the paraglider from the tree.

There is no word on if the paraglider has been injured. No other details have been given at this time.
