Two hospitalized in west Erie house fire

Two people were transported to the hospital after a fire broke out at a west Erie residence.

Crews were called to the 1300 block of West 32nd Street around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday for a reported fire.

When they arrived on the scene, they were met by heavy smoke coming from the two-story structure.

One person in the home was reportedly injured in the fire, the extent of those injuries is unknown at this time.

One fireman was also transported from the scene for unknown injuries.

Several pets were reportedly pulled from the home as well. Their condition is also unknown at this time.
