Erie police are searching for potential suspects after a man was robbed at gunpoint at a local bank.
That armed robbery happened at the PNC Bank on Pine Avenue this past Tuesday around 10:30 p.m.
Police said the victim was using an ATM and withdrew money.
At this time, the suspect rode up on a bicycle, stuck what the victim said was a gun into his stomach and asked him to hand over his money.
The suspect then got back on his bike and rode north with the cash.
“This case was transferred to the major crimes unit. We have surveillance in the area and we’ll take a look at that. We’ll speak to the witnesses that were in the area when this occurred and saw this happen. We’ll take a look at that, and surrounding surveillance and follow up,” said City of Erie Police Deputy Chief Rick Lorah.
Police are still looking to identify the suspect and continue to investigate.
