After a fire heavily damages their home, a Millcreek couple is reaching out to the community for help.
A GoFundMe has been set up by Erin and Dean Grady who tragically lost their home this past weekend.
According to the fundraiser, the couple was left with only the clothes on their backs and had lost their cherished belongings.
The Gradys released a statement saying:
Thank you for allowing me to share my gratitude to the community.
First I want to thank the unbelievable firemen that risked their lives to save some of mine. And especially for getting our sweet Charley out safely. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We are so overwhelmed and thankful from the kindness of everyone who has reached out to help us and comfort us during this tragedy. To our friends I don’t know how I can ever thank you enough. I’ve always loved living here in Erie, there’s no place else I’d rather live and thanks to Erie Insurance and the kindness of the people that live here in the community I’ll be able to rebuild our life at my home.
Twenty years ago as a young single mother purchasing a home, I had no idea about home owners insurance. I just did what Erie Insurance told me to and continued to renew my policy every year. They have been absolutely amazing thru this process and I’m will be forever thankful to them and everyone who has helped us get on our feet.
