New record high temperature in Erie Tuesday, more potentially in near future

A new record high was set in Erie on Tuesday, with temperatures hitting 77 degrees. The old record was 75 set in 1946.

Unseasonably warm weather will continue right into Halloween. The record for Wednesday is 78 and for Thursday is 76. It is likely Erie will tie or break those records also.

Showers are possible for trick-or-treaters on Thursday evening and then sharply cooler weather on Friday. Then temperatures are set to move up again early next week.
