Erie police have taken a suspect into custody on homicide charges on Friday after a man was found on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of East 26th Street late Wednesday night.
That man later died at the hospital.
Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook has ruled the death a homicide, and while police have one suspect in custody, they’re looking for more.
Ledomperign Eady, 31, was found by police around 11 p.m. on Oct. 30 on the sidewalk along the 1000 block of East 26th Street, and investigators believe he was beaten to death.

“We immediately dispatched our major crimes unit to the area and started talking to witnesses in the area. We also grabbed a large amount of surveillance in the area to take a look at,” said Deputy Chief Rick Lorah, City of Erie Police Department.
Police were able to take one person into custody, who is facing homicide charges.
Investigators were also able to identify several other people who were seen engaging with the victim.
