Multiple fire departments responded to a house fire in Sheridan. On Saturday at about 3:00 PM, multiple fire departments responded to a reported structure fire at 10539 Newell Road. Upon arrival, firefighters assisted with water supply and fire suppression and extinguished the house fire. The Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team found that the fire was accidental and caused by a lawn mower in a carport attached to the garage of the house. No injuries were reported. The Sheridan, East Dunkirk, Forestville, Sunset Bay, and Fredonia fire departments all responded to the fire, along with New York State Police and Chautauqua County Emergency Services.
