A 34-year-old Lake City man died Sunday afternoon after his motorcycle crashed along West 12th Street in Millcreek Township, according to Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook and township police.
The accident was reported Sunday at 2:11 p.m. in the 3000 block of West 12th Street, Erie County 911 reported.
According to Cook, the man, identified by authorities on Monday as Cody M. Price, was driving a motorcycle on West 12th Street when a car reportedly pulled out from Harper Drive.
Millcreek Township Police Chief Carter Mook reported Monday morning that the motorcycle was traveling east on West 12th Street when it collided with a black 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander that began traveling east on West 12th Street after turning right from Harper Drive.
Price was taken to UPMC Hamot, where he was pronounced dead in the operating room at 3:28 p.m. Sunday, Cook said.
Mook said the driver of the Mitsubishi, a 49-year-old Greene Township man, was not injured.
