Millcreek residents share their voting experience in the 2024 election

As Election Day continues, Erie County voters are heading to the polls to cast their vote in person.

First Alliance Church on Zimmerly Road in Millcreek saw droves of voters Tuesday morning and afternoon.

One of the poll workers said there are three big rushes of voters throughout the day:

  • When they open first thing in the morning
  • Around 4 p.m.
  • And right before polls close around 7:30 p.m.

“Once I got my ballot, everything went very smoothly. You’ve got to fill out both sides of the ballot. When I walked over and put it through the scanner, there was no trouble whatsoever. I came out number 404,” said Kathi Crane, Millcreek voter.

“You should vote every election. I think you should come to the polls. But this is nice. It should be like this all of the time,” said Paul Shopene, Millcreek voter

The polls close Tuesday at 8 p.m.
