The ANNA Shelter took in 18 Doberman pinschers in a commercial breeder gone wrong situation.
Ruth Thompson said they were called to a scene out of town to seize the dogs after finding them in deplorable conditions.

Thompson said the breeder was selling puppies for thousands of dollars, flying them across the country to be sold.
Although the ANNA Shelter took in 18 dogs, there were dozens of other dogs involved in this seizure.

“All of them have fungal infections, they’re loaded with parasites, but they’re producing championship puppies for her that she’s making hundreds of thousands of dollars from. Just a heartbreaking situation,” said Thompson. “I’m not against good breeders. There are breeders that love their breed, are passionate about it and they want to see an amazing dog come out of it. . . And then there’s people where these dogs are commodities and they just see dollar signs.”
