After months of work, the Erie School District is preparing to transition out of its current administrative building into its new one.
The ground and first floors of the new building at West 19th and Sassafras streets are expected to be finished in the next few weeks.

We’re told over Thanksgiving break, staff will begin the move-in process. The building was a former medical office complex used by the Allegheny Health Network.
“This building got a complete gut to the interior. We really didn’t touch much of the outside, we are going to have new windows installed starting next week, but the inside of the building was very chopped up. The whole floor plan really had to be kind of whipped clean so that we could bring it back to what we needed.” Neal Brokman, assistant superintendent of operations Erie School District.

Brokman added their old administrative building at West 21st and Sassafras streets needed $13 million of investments to stay up to par.
