On Saturday, November 9, the community is invited to let its inner 1970s get down at Disco Spectacular.
Disco Spectacular is the annual Voices for Independence fundraiser. The disco party will be held from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. at Rainbow Gardens on Peninsula Drive.
NPAA celebrates 50 years of artistic expression at Mercyhurst
All proceeds from the event go to programs and services offered by Voices for Independence. Each year, some 500 to 700 people attend the dance.
“Everyone loves disco, right? We have people dressing up in costumes. We have a dance contest. A costume contest. And, you know, it’s just a lot of fun. It’s a BYOB and bring your own snacks as well. So, you know, come on out and have a good time with us,” said Shona Eakin, chief executive officer of Voices for Independence.
This will be the 17th year of the disco-themed event.
