( WJET/WFXP ) – The Wattsburg Area Elementary Center issued a notice about the presence of bed bugs in their building and is treating the situation.
According to a release, the Wattsburg school district has implemented needed pest control treatments in suspected areas in and around the school building and buses as well as applying professional bed bug treatment.
Everyone’s well-being has been assessed and cleared by the district. Officials have since deemed both the elementary school and buses safe for all students to attend school as usual.
The district will continue to closely monitor the elementary school and buses and follow its
integrated pest management protocol to proactively manage these areas.
