Hundreds of children are going home bundled in warmth and love in preparation for the winter season.

PNC distributed winter coats to local kids as a part of their Operation Warm Coat initiative.

Brand-new jackets were donated to several early learning centers in Erie, Warren, Mercer, Crawford and Venango counties. One Erie recipient was Century Child Development Centers.

The students were excited to receive the coats, and even more happy to be able to pick out their own jackets.

“When we were putting some coats on the children they were picking out their favorite color and trying on the ones that they want, one little girl said she was beautiful,” said Rina Irwin, CEO of Century Child Development Centers. “Today is just a lovely event to show what people feel and what they think of making sure children are warm and were just very thankful.”
